We participate in an activity of the Youth and Science Program
(4 July 2017)
Members of the technical office of the LIFE + LimnoPirineus project have participated in a field trip to Lakes Closell and Naorte, in the Cardós Valley, within the Youth and Science Program organized by Mon Natura Pirineus and the Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation. We have given different talks dedicated to the biodiversity and ecology of the high mountain lakes and to the problem of the invasive fish that affect them. Afterwards we made a collection of samples and data in the lakes. Organized in different groups we have studied the limnological characteristics, the amphibians and the invertebrates of the lakes. The technicians of Sorelló have also explained and showed us the techniques they use to capture the fish.
